Case 1 – low back pain with referral to legs
- Business manager with sharp pain, ache, stiff in low back, pain in buttock, thigh, calf and heel, with pins and needles in lower leg
- 6 month history (4 month was increasing; then improved slightly and stayed the same for the 6 weeks before physiotherapy)
- 4 physiotherapy sessions
- Advice+++ on off-loading sensitive nerve tissue; encouraged postural & movement awareness
- Patient reported they were 90% normal at discharge with no pins and needles (was 20% normal at start of treatment).
